TOPIC: South Florida Seitlin/Milliman Mid Market Survey

This workshop presentation details all of the results of the South Florida Seitlin/Milliman Mid Market Benefits Survey.
The speaker will go over the local and national results and will show median plan designs, contribution strategies, rates, local and national trends, consumer-driven plan designs and strategies, top ten cost control strategies, wellness and disease management issues and strategies, and non medical/PTO strategies and designs. The meeting will also include an audience response system that polls the audience, which allows instant feedback on the strategies and attitudes in the room.

This session will address various ethical delemmas that face companies and HR professionals in today's tough economic climate. To facilitate the discussion regarding these various ethical dilemmas, hypotheticals will be presented that raise a variety of issues that HR professionals face, including, dealing with and reporting violations of company policies, dealing with and reporting violations of law by the company, company workforce reductions, overtime pay and ERISA issues. Through the use of the hypotheticals, the panel will raise and discuss various duties and liabilities that the HR professionals and the companies face in connection with such issues as well as protections that may be afforded pursuant to various whistleblower statutes. The discussion will help the various participants identify, analyze and address such issues.
